Hi, i'm Mike Savage, founder of SAVAGE PERFORMANCE personal training, and a Toronto-based personal trainer. I pride myself on the training experience I provide to my clients. It is customized in every sense of the word. My finely tuned and attentive coaching skill set, motivational support, and professional guidance will direct you on a path that will lead you to the goals we discuss. My areas of expertise include weight loss management and body transformations, body fat reduction and lean tissue/muscle development, sport specific strength and performance, muscular and joint related rehabiitation, along with nutrition & lifestyle coaching. With a client list as diverse as mine, I emphasize science-backed training modalities with my client's programming that can be transferred from the the gym to daily life or elite level sport.
I provide training services to my clients at their homes, outdoors at a location of their choice, as well as PARLIAMENT STREET FITNESS, a well established Toronto based fitness centre which I am affiliated with. PARLIAMENT STREET FITNESS is located in the heart of Cabbagetown, 488 Parliament Street, Toronto, and has state-of-the-art fitness equipment that allows me to successfully coach my clients to their desired health and fitness goals.
With over 15 years as a fitness professional, I have been fortunate enough to have worked 13 of those within the financial district at the heart of busy downtown Toronto. This is where your training goals will be established. Information gathering is such an integral part of my process and essential for me to develop a personalized and goal specific training program for you. Once the document has been completed and all of your questions have been answered, you may now go ahead and schedule your first in-person meeting.

During the assessment I will take notes that will help me to provide you with top-quality customized programming - nothing will be left to chance, your success is my priority.

I will coach you through your workout, ensuring your exercise technique is pristine. Together we will make sure the correct loads/weights are selected for each working set of each exercise you perform. Your customized training plan will be build around the equipment you have access to, whether that be at home, outdoors, or the gym. As I modify your workouts to allow for continued progression and to avoid training plateaus, I may offer fitness equipment recommendations for you to purchase that work within your budget if you decide that in-home training is better suited to you. I am fully confident that you will be 100% satisfied with your results and the professional service that I will provide to you throughout our trainer/client relationship.
Many of my clients train with me one-three times a week. To make sure you stay on track on the days you don't see me, I will provide you with homework (where applicable) to establish accountability. By committing to activities outside of your scheduled training sessions, it will make our sessions together even more effective.
Your training goals are going to be the biggest determining factor when deciding how often to re-assess to ensure you stay on track. A typical timeframe between assessments is about 2-4 weeks.
